What is Boulder Startup Week? #BSW12
Yesterday was the kick off to Boulder Startup Week 2012. If you haven't been paying attention, Boulder is putting itself on the map as THE place to be for startups. In the words of the event organizers: "The goal of Boulder Startup Week is fairly simple: Boulder is awesome, and we want everyone to know about it."
Last night I had the opportunity to attend Ignite Boulder, one of the many events going on this week. If you've never attended this event you should definitely add it your list for next year! It was 2 hours of presentations that truly represented everything that makes Boulder awesome! Presentations ranged from hilarious, to thought provoking, to educational, and everything in between. While the topics varied, what remained consistent throughout were the passionate speakers, inspiring us to think differently and be the catalyst to change in our world. If you're looking to build a startup or invest in a startup, these are the type of people you want on your team! There's a full schedule of events this week ranging from informative lectures, community meetups, bike rides, and of course yoga (it's Boulder after all). So get out there, meet some folks, and discover why "Boulder is awesome"!
